Mount Rainier National Park

Mount Rainier National Park occupies 365 square acres of wilderness and features the episodically active volcano, Mount Rainier.  The official height of Mount Rainier is 14,410 feet.  It is the tallest volcano in the U.S. and the fifth largest peak.   Activities in the park include camping, fishing, boating, climbing, bicycling, backpacking, and hiking.  It is about 60 miles southeast of Seattle and about 50 miles to the northeast of Mount St. Helens National Monument.
